Summer Whirlwind

Dad has a great job.. 60 hours a week. Pray for him ... he is so tired daily and only gets one day of rest. Mom and the boys are adjusting to a ghost dad. Even when he is home he is such a zombie. Moms car was repo'd this week and just before they took it we found a great offer for an old beater. Hoping life will settle soon. Knowing God is providing for us greatly now.

Dad is going back to work!

So maybe it was a week of four sickos with strep... maybe it was the strains of two boys fighting over everything in sight. Truly God has blessed Dad with a place to be during the day haha. We are thankful the job he desired has come through. He starts on Monday and he will be working 4 tens so we will start to have outings again on Friday mornings... yeah!

We are all on the mend bodily, financially and spiritually. We both felt we should have been stronger people through this but we have faith that God knows our hearts and blesses us anyway!

Daddy is still out of work. Praying this is God's will and that we actually are trusting his every thought for our lives. How amazing and simple this will all seem in the future but today we look around and wonder what is God's message so we may learn it quickly and move on to greener fields ( or cacti ) .
The boys are growing sooo fast. The youngest is now a full walker who crawls when tired and the middle brother spins in circles to burn his massive load of energy. Our Emalou is still with us and truly a part of each of our lives. A former boy has joined our crew and has changed the balance of our lives but we believe this is God's will for today but secretly pray for upcoming changes!
Our pets remain the same.. sort of. Moe cat is still in love with mom, Pancho tortoise now has the patio to himself ( we sold the biggies to save on groceries... they ate as much as the boys! ) and the tank colonies fish have moved to one side of the room and continue to change.

Mom is missing the coast. Death has helped this longing.. we lost my grandfather and youngest cousin this past year and we missed both funerals. I was probably best for Jamie since I have a huge mass of relatives that would have lingered together for days. I heard my grandmother clung to members for hours. It has only been a few years but I dread the boys not knowing the feel of sand washing in their toes, chasing crabs or eating watermelon in the ocean! Maybe I miss the sand and waves too much myself.
TaTa for now

Aaah the joys of summer. As the heat continues to rise in this blustery valley of dust work continues to dwindle for the hubbie. We currently have an offer for Alaska; yes the dreaded dangers of the pipelines. He could start mid June or so... work 14 days at 12-16 hours a day... be off for 14 days. The pay is surreal we figure between overtime per diem and the $47 an hour rate we could bring home at least 6 grand a month.
Lots to pray about.........
is it worth our marriage..I could move to Seattle for a while( he would be a 4hr ferry away)... but all our stuff.. all our friends etc
is it worth his health.. surely working that hard for that long does something to your soul

Daddy at home

Dad got laid off this week. Bad for bills ... but great for the family & house!
We are going through the house finding the yuck to do that fell off the honey do list.
Today i repainted all the doors & baseboards.. it looks great til the kids get up haha. He plans to build a stand for the tanks so they will be on one wall instead of well everywhere.

Daddy

Dad went to the Doctor yesterday to find he has an upper resp. infection. Yuck So he took Mon & Tues off bad news since his company will release their 2nd hift of layoffs today. Pray for us it could be good if he can get on at Intel quickly... but the avaerage is 6 weeks to get a job!
The good news ... he is already feeling better.

Girls Night Out

Had a free mommie night! Went to play bunco. Did I forget that sugar works like drinking in my system! I had sooo much fun. But but I got really loud... really silly and boy did my tummy start to hurt! I actually tried to go to bed but rolled about with a rumbly in my tummers!

A day out with the boys & Miss Laurie

Stayed up super late to do at least a few pages of scrapbooking only to have a Sugar up up and loud way too early! So we are off early this morning to share our new great deal.. We found a food club in town that offer huge amounts for little money. Then we will pick up our Easter photos at Costco. At least another great deal we will go to the library to get our four free passes for a local place.. hopefully the Science Center.
